Once more

Flashing images of memory continue to haunt
nights and days, days and nights;
shifting present consciousness to series of past events,
as if those were to be relived.

Sensation heightens each time the images recollect,
strikes like the first encounter –
a sudden rush of strange warm feelings flooding
all over the yearning soul.

Slowly develops the impossible,
reaching the out of reach,
touching the out of touch;
pushing self-serving bias to a new extreme.

Much old sanity is off the scene;
one foot deep in the closed past,
another one stepping into the open future
leave behind the trembling moment of present.

Survival takes no light toll -
of bits and pieces reverse
in secret pleasure, in secret tears;
in motion to tango alone in shadows.

Still. Voluntarily to be corrupted by the memory,
nights and days, days and nights;
taking to heart the warm embrace,
the taste of the last tango, once more.

all melt away into the sound of silence -
that speaks much unheard feelings
once longed to be delivered and understood.

Well-learned communication patterns are broken;
now done by own presence,
through the minds, through the hearts,
every unsaid is said.

Much depth has been fallen into,
denial makes the only crime;
no glancing back at the past,
no future regrets.

End to continuous searches,
long-separated halves at last reunite,
that completes the last chapter of
two bodies but one soul.

Repeatedly walk the same way through everyday,
everything looks indifferent,
everything looks different;
swinging between the naked truths and disguised lies.

Much noise is on and off the surround,
rushing, dispersing and colliding,
gradually swirled up local disturbances inside -
an attack to the old beliefs.

The right quickly becomes the new wrong,
and the wrong soon replaces the right :
a natural outcome of the subjective reality,
changing constantly over and over.

With merely nothing in an absolute state;
all responses could be a hit,
a miss, a false alarm
or remain as a myth all the way to the end.

And yet, as equipped with bags of hope and
carrying no fear,
walking down the same way though everyday
marks unique starts of a life-long journey.

Passing it on all along

Following traits down memory lane,
broken bits and pieces of memories bubbled up
out of the long gone sight, out of the unconscious mind;
spinning round and round.

Flashing by were thousands of faces,
a compilation of the loved, missed, forgotten and unknown
originated from the lost-and-found box;
stirring the past up to present.

So much was on and off the track,
yet entwined together like a bunch of tangled knots -
a master interweave of joy and despair,
extending its way down to the end.

Irreversible. The tangled could not be untangled,
for what had been done was done,
done in the past and also the future,
retrieval could only be made possible in vain imaginations.

And none could pass on further, without
passing on the bottled essence of the antecedent
to the subsequent, on and on;
all along the ever-extending memory lane.

The spells of summer

No one knows the moment summer begins slipping in;
no sound is made,
no trace is left,
all done with merely anything being undone.

Realization of its arrival only comes upon
when senses are fully arrested,
by a sudden urge, to submit and surrender
to the dazzling sun, to the cloudless sky.

And soon as the last defense is abandoned,
summer officially reigns all over,
in and out; flooding all over the soul,
and unlocks the deepest desire.

Leaving feelings so naked and raw,
shadowless under the sun, everything melts away
into the heat, into the ultimate form of intoxication.
All lost in spells.

No one knows the moment summer begins slipping in;

And here comes the loneliness

Somehow loneliness has circled its way back
again; back to the old start,
back to the old end,
weaving a chain of interlocking causality.

Thought it had melt into the daunting past,
vanished off the existing memory
and left days good as prayed;
but never seemed to realize.

Secretly the sense of strangeness steals in
bit by bit; forming cracks on the outershell,
and pulling down all defenses,
in the wait, to overthrow the core once more.

This stale state of bareness lasts
days and days; washes out all the colours into
grey, the new colour of the world,
and abandon the others in the lost memory.

And all that has left is the willingness to accept it,
letting pieces of everything fades away,
in the last hope of being granted
a return of the long-awaited dawn.

Never knows where fate leads,
be it a step forward, a step backward,
or a sharp sudden twist;
all buried deep down under.

As soon as time commands,
exfoliating myths off from each wrapped tale,
the journey begins to take flight;
the true first flight.

It steals darkness from the night,
introduces thunderstrom through the sunshine,
and pushes one between joy and despair
til the journey end is met.

Tumbling as it could be,
any forms of denial shall bring no ends
nor exemptions; for all bits
are designated gifts and blessings.

Wonder since when, asking for more had become
the new cult; spreading to all the possibles
without a trace and, corrupted them with more
till everyone turned into a host.

Unstoppable. The spreading had long gone beyond
the stop, more and more were in;
at a rate exceeding the growth of lawn
after the first rain in spring.

Pointless of glancing back now, the deadly claw
has already sprawled into minds,
and spread roots down to the core;
paving for the big final.

Could be soon, could be never,
for the coming of the final judgement day;
yet, the tale of truth reads - the later its arrival,
the more will be undone.

Have been travelling alone for too long;
too long, to recall the day started,
the distant starting point and, locate
the land that used to come close in dreams.

Colours seem to be weathered down,
layer by layer along the route -
peeling off the glamorous shell and
exposes the monochrome core.

Slowly, adapts to this new vacancy;
so bare and raw, as if it has always been
hiding within, anticipating the moment
to break the thin shell.

Fear sets in; strikes the long-believed truth
like a thunderstorm and bubbles out
chains of doubts, extending
all the way towards the remote land?

This journey was, perhaps, long planned
by an invisible hand; nothing can be done
besides swanning around this single path,
wait till, a hand joins in.

Promised with a change,
mind exchanges at a cross road;
alternating thoughts and shifts
on a blurry ground.

Flushing in and out the paths are,
waves of quiet passerby,
the two walls of water on either hand;
sinking in blue.

As diverged as they appear to be,
yet, unusually paralleled -
loading carriages of disoriented bodies
along the identical broken trials.

As if, a curved mirrior is placed within:
specularly reflects the hidden unconsciousness,
and bounces back and forth all along;
an explicit exposure of the naked truth.

The once determined mind now hesitates,
ceases to take steps forward but backward :
an attempt to brighter ends,
while standing firm on a crystal clear ground.

All comes to the end, lastly;
no more twins flow,
no more blind running
in this brave new road.

Circle encircles another circle,
one after one,
in the most perfect uniformized pattern;
intimately positioned and, distant.

Ought to be indifferent;
come in kindred roots and spirits,
endowed with akin features,
and touched, by the same mother's hand.

Resemblance inherents within, merely
spreads them all over, and,
swims towards each direction,
without a core, a heart.

Hearts remain, inside each circle;
the only core for each,
the one that matters,
happy are those who hide inside.

Tougher and choppier along the trail;
not a pause for seekers,
to climb up, to set in,
to bridge amongst walls.

Topped up with sickly sweet lies,
soft prickles along the edges;
perhaps, gives birth to a new core:
resting in twilight.

Always in the wait for the last stop,
anticipation ends at the far end;
indifferent announcements are made
over and over, still.

Cold metal cage opens and closes,
flows in an army of clones,
flushes out another army of clones;
another simple matter of exchange.

All are stoned like sculptures,
masterpieces created by blankness;
distinctively different yet strangely similar,
all in comply with the empty stare rule.

Motions stay frozen, so does
emotions, under lock and key in a forgotten island;
buried deep down in a bottomless hole,
brings about curiosity and danger.

Deadness condensed in the air,
grows by every minute, spreading around
vigorously like a seaonal flu;
unconscious are the patients, though.

A new deadly disease is born,
weathering one's affections bit by bit;
the only way to escape from further decay,
perhaps, is to leave at the right stop.

Summer tune's last note.

Feels like it was yesterday when
summer sang its first tune of the year.
Notes were blishfully light,
dancing around in harmony.

Everything was new then;
sharper, brighter,
crispier, fresher,
evolved from the moody spring.

Spontaneous drizzle vaporized,
while playing under the sun.
Layers and layers of mystery gone,
by just an effortless blow.

Sizzling hot was the sand,
heaven's golden grains on ground;
waveless sea ran smooth as silk,
demonstrated the liveliest shade of blue.

Laughters echoed all around,
bursting like new year's fireworks,
showered every corner with
the simplest and directest joy.

Almost too perfect to be real,
as if staying in a wrong dream;
carried away by a long chain of
fragile and fleeting soap bubbles.

Will this summer tune run until
reached its everlasting end?

Truth is.

Swimming through a circus,
chaos all around;
clashing with each other along the path,
generates waves of yells and cheers.

Excitement slowly begins its intoxication,
shotting people with wild joy,
they, as if being conditioned;
share the same, uniformed move.

Plain, dull jokes fly over the tent,
followed by senseless laughs;
emotions flamed up to the peak,
roaring like an angry lion.

Chaos further grows with yells and cheers,
spreading roots to all remaining corners,
and sprawl into others minds,
in the hope of unity.

Hollow whoops comes back and forth,
spins one's head fast,
into a swirl of confusion, starts
a battle of old and new.

Surrounding noise performs lies,
attempting to sway the truth away;
yet, incites the end of long anticipation
into the brightest light.

Undefined lies are defined again,
signifying this craze is nothing,
more than a spark,
that fades as soon as it rises.

P.S I am back everyone! I have been very busy with all the university orientation stuff.(going to be a year 1 student this september!) hope everyone is doing great! and i promise that i will post as often as before,i have never forgotten this blog. :)

Spinning, it is spinning

Spin without spreading arms,
shadowless on ground;
no sound is made,
moves beyond imaginations, yet.

Time, a spinning ballerina;
spins till boundless ocean evolves
from ranges of mountains, and further fills
with layers of field terrains.

Nothing too fast,transformation is done
in every spin, in every spilt second;
squeezes way through into a tight clock,
still, puzzles all the eyes.

All over, when eyes open again;
clock finished its first marathon,
monthly calender flipped to next page,
time, no longer the same.

Truth is, ignorance fools are blinded
by all the fake glamour,
indugled with pride and prejudice,
in every spin, in every spilt second.

For time slips like sand in fists,
goes as quickly as possible,
there's no holding back yet to grasp it tightly,
in every single moment.

An empty schedule

Wandering in an empty schedule,
no plans to stop, not even one;
to swim through hours and days,
calls in a long yawn.

Emptiness floods over monthly calendar,
broken arrows shoot across uniformized boxes;
notes and markings are preys,
caged soul hunts after, desperately.

Was once caged by books and papers,
shaking the paper bars like a thrashed slave;
encircled with rings of eraser dust,
and howled, for an hour of peace.

Sitting side by side with peace now,
boredom invades steps by steps, till no rooms left;
rapid knocks are heard, from hollowness,
louder and heavier everytime it knocks.

Tension in the air tightens,
stretching to its rupture point;
there's nowhere else to hide,
to camouflage the fear of loneliness.

Prayers remain unanswered, sunken;
bubbles of disorderly thoughts emerge,
depressing oneself back into,
the old empty schedule.

Note: I guess this piece pretty much explained why i don't blog as frequent as I did before.

As this blog will soon celebrate its first anniversary, I would like to collect some opinions from you all for further betterment. Feel free to answer the following questions :) Your suggestions will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance for that. :)

Centre of nowhere

Station to station,
moving through subway in the tube;
no destination in mind, yet,
lost the initiative of outing, nowhere.

Walking out from an anonymous exit,
out to the main street;
collide with jammed crowd,
swirling into a chaotic circle.

Foot moves, following the general flow,
push directions all around;
to the mysterious East, to the curious West,
up to arid North, down to fiery South.

Illusion takes in,
compiles faces in a kaleidoscope,
revovles, splintering into million pieces,
merges into one.

Noise of the traffic circulates speedily,
whirls till a hurricane emerges,
draws in numerous
formless and shapeless circus.

Now, standing in the eye of hurricane,
stillness overwhelms,
slowly absorb into cycles of jumble,
swallowed, into whole.

Carries away to nowhere,
nowhere.

P.S I apologize for my lack of posting in the past two weeks, feeling a bit uninspired lately and I am sort of getting back on track now :)

The nineteenth attempt

Tick, tock;
tick, tock;
clock's arm slowly walks towards twelve,
towards the mysterious, blank door.

Knock, knock;
time gently opened the lock,
cleared the block,
leads, to the nineteenth walk.

Stepping into a new path,
paved with unexplored possibilities and, laughs?

Eyes to the front,
but the front itself, is blurred;
layers and layers of mist,
veiled the upcoming road.

As if,
a shy braid's hiding,
before unveiling.

Stuffy, humid air moves along wind's breath;
hides, distant floral senses,
attempting for a further step,
a step closer to its dangerous intoxication.

A rush of wind runs,
over bare raw skin;
shiverings and frightenings follow,
into heart.

Heart,
races fast every second.

Eighteen attempts tried,
zillion of steps have been taken,
on this every-changing road;
reaching out for zillion of unknowns.

This,the nineteenth attempt,
road confuses vision as ever;
puts no end on the exploration,
but runs, hastily for all potential opportunities.

Tick, tock,
tick, tock;
another new door is now opened.

Chances

applying colours,
swirling memories in
the paint.

From the brightest glow of white,
to the darkest shadow of black,
all in all.

Dots of shades and tones,
slightly sign the past,
shape a vivid, dead frame
in all corners.

The charm lies within, never missed,
amazed others with applause;
the soul lives within, never noticed,
locked others with blockade.

A frame of picture window,
the beautified emptiness.

An unfamiliar touch moves across,
enlighting shades,
calling lights back
to the paint.

Starting from the first blush of winter rose,
till the declining lines of summer sunglow.

Bleaching beauty, ends dormancy,
fading out old allure,
drawing in new flushes,
embraces a strange new life.

Charms flourishing outside,
shines with sunglow;
living soul inside,
dances along with passion flow.

A love brush,
fills colours into life, in completion.

Masquerade

Every morning,
alarm clock squeaking;
she wakes, rubs her eyes
looks into the mirror.

Each morning,
Dressing up and dressing down;
she asks herself the same question:
Which mask should I put on today?

All mornings,
mask-picking and concealing;
she puts on the happy mask,
steps into the glamorous masquerade.

All days,
circling and swirling;
she blends into the masked regal crowd,
greets everyone with her merry mask.

Some ask:
who is she?

Another answer:
Just another smiley girl,
like everyone else in the masquerade.

This morning,
mind conflicting and colliding;
she asks herself :
Why do I need to put on a mask everyday?

For one morning,
mask-forgotten and abandoned;
she stays unmasked,
steps into the flashy masquerade.

This day,
quieting and observing;
garnish light opened her eyes,
see through the wicked soul disguised underneath.

Today,
mask-removing and revealing;
harshness and distortion exposed,
she walks away from the chaos.

Some ask:
who is that girl?

She answers:
Just a girl,
does not belong to the masquerade.

You said.
'But it could be dangerous for you to be alone.'
I replied.
'Believe me, I am a big girl now,
everything will be under control'
You insisted.
'Well...'
I hesistated.

And you ran out of the door,
without a head turn.

'Where are you?'
You called me one night.
'Where are you?'
I said while I was switching on the light.
'At the door.'

Door opened, unknown.
Your eyes were hollow,
filled with sorrow.

"Come in." I muttered.
You said nothing, head down.

Two people sitting on the sofa with television on,
yet there was no sound.
Four eyes on the ground, met and head up,
exchanged silent words.
Six minutes passes, passed like sixty years.

Night slowly consumed our silent dry words,
led us to bed.
Morning light hit the floor
and brought my eyes to the door.
Winds flowing in and you are out.

Empty is the room,
But hope always stays there, waiting to bloom.
Blossoming like spring flower
and cleanses the spirit like morning shower.

Heartland

The land was beautiful
once.

Paved with lively greens,
it was a playground for wilds.
Life blossomed
once.

And there came
a troop of people,
invaders.

Arrived with
tractors and bulldozers,
land cleared.

Green floor disappeared,
wilds gone,
life perished.

One vehicle,
two vehicles,
three vehicles,
endless of vehicles landed.

Landed nothing but,
a truck of waste;
a truck of trash;
a truck of sins;
and a truck of hatreds.

The land was a pain.

Paved with deadly soil,
it was a grave for wilds.
Life ached.

And there came
a troop of people,
saviours.

Arrived with
compassion and affection,
land revived.

Spirited ground,
smiley wilds,
life grinned.

One lawn,
two shrubs,
three bushes,
the land is back.

Back with,
a family of ant,
a family of butterflie,
a family of bird,
and a family of entity.

The land is beautiful
now.

P.S This piece is inspired by a park that i usually go for a walk. It was a landfill site before, which now turned into a beautiful park, perfect for a walk and a peace of mind.

The paper,
starts to change.

Dusted,
its skin turns grey.

Uncoloured skin
lies within,
being disguised.

It was torn
into pieces.

Once,
Twice,
a few times.

Numerous journey travelled,
its adventure
written all over.

There are marks,
lines and scratches;
black,red,silver,yellow,green,
in every colour.

So unfamiliar,
with its new twisted,
transfigured face.

It looks,
so different.

Yet,
it's still
the same paper
lies underneath;
white,clean,pure.

I was tagged by annah, the sweet girl from adventures_in_lo-fi_land.

It's a fun tag to do,, see the following rules:

So, I went to the 4th folder( it said Cake!), and that's what i found.

This pic was taken back in early december, 2008 and it was a double chocolate "cupcake" made by me for my friend S as her 18th birthday present.

I remember how nervous i was during the baking time. Because it's actually a coffee mug, it can be put into the mircowave or dishwater machine, but never the oven.

I was like: " will it explode?" " will the cake rise up successfully?" "is it cooked??" all the time. Crazy me. lol.

Waking up early in the morning,
with confusion floating around
her head.

Looking like a women,
but
feels like a girl.

Which catagory does she fall into?

She covers her eyes with both hands,
secretly wishing that the answer
will pop up instantly.

Obviously,
no such luck.

Searching for it everywhere
in her house,
as if playing the hide-and-seek.

Playing around in the closet,
dressing and undressing.

Cocktail dresses and heels
become her new favourite.

The gloomy old gray t-shirt
loses its old allure,
finding its way to the forgotten corner.

Putting on her daily matt lipstick,
looking low and
feeling dull.

Soon enough, she replaced it
with the new blood red lipstick.
Feeling high.

She stares at her own reflection
in the mirror.
Naked.

The youthful face mismatched
with a womanly body.

Veiled by time,
the answer reveals its hidden self,
day by day.

It comes with no signs,
no footprints

and no witness.

Transforming her secretly.

The insecure old shell of her
has gone,

I was also tagged by Paris_Tarts to name 6 unimportant things that i like. awww.. She is too sweet to be real. :)

1. I like fruits, almost every kind of them. Their freshness and sweetness never fail to amaze me. And i shall never forget the berries bliss in the middle of summer.

2. More about food. Playing with my food is one of the best part while having my meal. lol I know it's childish but that is just soooo much fun.

3. Sitting on the bench alone is vital in my crazy life. It clears out my fussy mind and helps me to see many different things in another way.

4. I say walking home with the company of a luminous sun. Its heat stays on my skin and warm my heart. Especially in winter time.

5. Staying on bed all day long. Drinking juice, flipping magazines, craving ice-cream, gossiping on phone, doing a mask ......... I do all these stuff on my bed. SEE? a day is not enough for those activities.

6. And my recyclable shopping bag! It does lessssssss harm to the poor environment.

It says Thank you to you if you use one rather than those countless unrecyclable dirty plastic bags.

thinking about tomorrow.

Tomorrow, with its large promise and its poor performance.

Often brings insecureness.

If only I know

how it is like.

I played the tarot cards,

to glance over tomorrow.

It said poor

for the first time,

fantastic

and so-so

for the third time.

What is the right answer?

I also set up instruments on the top of the mountain,

wishing it could deliver me to the next day.

I waited for 30mins, yet

nothing comes out,

not even a spark.

I sat by the window,

and look deep into the sky.

Does that blinking star mean anything?

Perhaps.

Always covered in a cloak,

tomorrow never reveal it real face

either in allure or in pain

till the right moment.

Guessing it's mind,

is a dangerous attempt.

Yesterday with all its mistakes and cares,
Its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.

I made a search of it.
To undo all my inperfections.

I peeked through the window,

and examined the traces that it had left behind.

I first ran into the forest and shouted its name.

I heard my voice bouncing back.

And, giggles from the squirrels?

Then,I sat on a long bench and wait.....

Waiting for its appearance, till the sunset.

I even placed an ad on newspaper,

but, there ain't any response.

Seems like yesterday has vanished in the air.

No signs everywhere.

I have given up.

And I am tired.

Yesterday has passed forever beyond my control.

Yesterday is gone forever, and ever.

Kiss it goodbye.
